BLUEZONE X KEYHOUSE will welcome you in May
The last few weeks have been dominated by the finalisation of our upcoming shows. And we are very proud of the current, impressive status: Thanks to the enormous support from the industry, around 700 suppliers from 33 countries are registered for MUNICH FABRIC START, including more than 90 international denim suppliers for BLUEZONE.
At the same time, the very dynamic situation with the ever-increasing measures for events and the rapidly increasing infection numbers all around Europe make it difficult for us to take the next steps to be able to welcome you again in just a few weeks.
It is with a very heavy heart that we therefore feel obliged to cancel
MUNICH FABRIC START Spring.Summer 23 from 25th – 27th January 2022.
BLUEZONE can’t happen in January 2022 as well, but the good news is that we are going to realise a stand-alone denim and innovation concept from 3 – 4 May 2022 on the Zenith grounds in Munich:
BLUEZONE X KEYHOUSE
“As trade fair organisers, in addition to the major economic risk, we also have a high social responsibility. Decisive for this serious decision are various realistic scenarios that could occur in the coming weeks depending on the situation: a very short-term ban on events, further restrictions for events or additional travel restrictions. In addition, of course, the health and safety of all participants is always our top priority. Due to current developments, we unfortunately have no other option than to cancel MUNICH FABRIC START. At the same time, we see a great opportunity in being able to offer a physical platform for denim and innovations in Munich from 3 – 4 May 2022: BLUEZONE X KEYHOUSE. There, you will find an impressive new format in the style of a blue festival with currently over 90 exhibiting denim mills and innovators.”
Sebastian Klinder, Managing Director Munich Fabric Start
STAY TUNED: We look forward to telling you more about our BLUEZONE X KEYHOUSE concept soon & can’t wait to finally reunite the Blue Community in May again!
At the same time, we will of course keep you informed about news and the latest collections from our exhibitors via our M/UNIQUE blog and Social Media & you will soon be able to purchase our trend forecast for Spring.Summer 23.
Now we wish you a nice pre-Christmas season & above all: stay healthy!

VIEW Premium Selection cancelled
Just before reaching the goal to realise a fully booked trade show at pre-pandemic level in just a few days, it is unimaginably difficult for us to write the following lines right now:
The political regulations in Bavaria of 19/11/2021 and the associated, strongly limiting conditions for events starting from an incidence of 1000 have far-reaching consequences for the VIEW Premium Selection. Due to the currently strong increase in the infection rates in Munich, the Preview Textile Show planned for 30/11 – 01/12/2021 must now be canceled as a precaution.
All organisers have to continuously monitor the situation and evaluate realistically: the new measures are expected to come into force in Munich in the coming days. We therefore feel our responsibility to offer all those involved a planning security at the earliest possible time.
Our special thanks go to the 300 suppliers for their great trust, support and loyalty, because a fully booked VIEW and a currently extremely well booked MUNICH FABRIC START and BLUEZONE are an outstanding sign in the current exceptional situation.
“Up to the last moment, we tried to make everything possible and believed in being able to set a positive example again with the realisation of the VIEW Premium Selection. We have fulfilled the requirements, adapted our hygiene concept several times to the dynamically changing measures and took the necessary precautions for a safe event. In short, we were ready for the final countdown – ready to welcome the textile industry back to Munich! Especially because of the great support from the industry and the high demand for VIEW, we now deeply regret the circumstances and the short-term cancellation, but the health and safety of all show participants always comes first.”
Sebastian Klinder, Managing Director Munich Fabric Start
Now we are fully focused on realising MUNICH FABRIC START Spring.Summer 23 from 25/01 – 27/01/2022 and BLUEZONE from 25/01 – 26/01/2022 as Covid-19 compliant physical trade shows in Munich.

A Safe Visit at FABRIC DAYS Thanks To Extensive Hygiene Measures
Your safe visit at FABRIC DAYS thanks to extensive hygiene- and safety measures
“Back to Business” will be the motto in just a few days at FABRIC DAYS from 1 – 3 September 2020 at the MOC, Munich. What can you expect there? New material developments, inspiration and important exchange with the industry!
FABRIC DAYS offers you and the industry the right format to return to business: a professional event, a select portfolio and an inspiring trend forum under the seasonal title “HOPETIMISM” for Autumn.Winter 21/22.
“We are well aware of the great responsibility and challenge that comes with organising an event in the current times. In close cooperation with the authorities and Messe München, we have succeeded in implementing a series of measures that go far beyond the local and international protection requirements. So, nothing stands in the way of a professional trade fair visit in a safe environment.”
Frank Junker, Creative Director Munich Fabric Start
Please take a look at the safety and hygiene measures taken in our final hygiene- and safety concept as well as in our regular Covid-19 updates on the FABRIC DAYS homepage. In the FAQ on hygiene and safety, we answer all your possible questions based on the hygiene concept for trade fairs of the Bavarian state government. On site, suitable media and specially trained personnel will inform you about the hygiene rules.
Our extensive measures for your safety
- Minimum distance: In general, the minimum distance of 1.5m to other persons must be maintained, which is made possible by floor markings, appropriate aisle widths and guided directions.
- Mouth and nose cover: In general, the obligation to wear a mouth and nose cover applies to all persons throughout the entire interior area of the trade fair. This does not include tables in separate catering areas and cafés as well as the outdoor area, provided that the minimum distance can be maintained.
- Hand hygiene: Please do not shake hands. A high density of disinfection, hand washing and hygiene facilities are provided.
- Disinfection of work surfaces: Exhibitors regularly disinfect the work surfaces within their own stand areas. The event organiser is responsible for the regular cleaning and disinfection of contact surfaces outside of stand areas as well as ensuring continuous fresh air circulation.
- Minimised contact points: Thanks to the restriction of the exhibition space to the easily accessible Halls 1 – 4 on the ground floor of the MOC, the switch to purely digital ticketing and the controlled access of only professional industry professionals, contact points are minimised and crowding are avoided.
- Access restrictions: Trade fair visitors, exhibitors and participants who have had contact with positively tested COVID-19 patients in the last 14 days, who are infected with COVID-19 or who show the known COVID-19 symptoms, are kindly asked to take their responsibility and stay away from the show. This also applies to persons who are under domestic quarantine. Persons with symptoms of illness will not be granted access to the fair.
No restrictions on visitor numbers expected
For FABRIC DAYS, there is a maximum number of people who may stay on exhibition grounds for the event. However, with the planned hall layout, we will not exceed these specified guidelines. Therefore, no restrictions on visitor numbers are to be expected.
Due to the general obligation to wear a mouth and nose cover, there are no restrictions on the maximum number of people per stand. However, the 1.5m distance rule applies. Thanks to these guidelines, there are no restricted time slots for your visit – you can arrange your visit to the fair on all three days of FABRIC DAYS individually.
“We are very grateful for the trust that we have received from both exhibitors and visitors. By organising FABRIC DAYS, we would like to set an example and offer the industry a trade fair that will be the first event of its kind on this scale. Cooperation is needed now, only together can the industry prove itself in these extraordinary times. We invite you to discover the latest material developments during FABRIC DAYS and look forward to seeing you again in Munich.”
Sebastian Klinder, Managing Director Munich Fabric Start
Our recommendations for your trade fair visit
Use the CORONA-WARN-APP of the German government during your stay in Germany. The Corona Warn-App helps to determine whether you have come into contact with an infected person and whether there is a risk of infection. In this way, chains of infection can be interrupted more quickly. Download and use of the app is completely voluntary. It is available free of charge in the App Store and can be downloaded from Google Play.
Please make sure you stay informed about the current Covid-19 status in Germany on the homepages of the Bavarian government (only in German), the Federal Ministry of Health (in English) and the Robert Koch Institute: www.bayern.de | www.bundesgesundheitsministerium.de/en/en.html | www.rki.de/EN

Important Information About Health Precautions
On this occasion we would like to inform you about the current status of the assessment of the spread of the new respiratory disease from China in Germany. The Robert Koch Institute is continuously recording the current situation, evaluating all information and assessing the risk to the population in Germany. The risk to the health of the population in Germany currently remains low.
The classification by the WHO as a “health emergency with international implications” has no consequences for Germany, as the WHO recommendations have already been fulfilled.
The Ministry of Health also considers Germany to be well prepared for the occurrence of the new respiratory disease in this country. “In this situation it is important that the state and all state institutions function. We are working with the best possible, maximum transparency…and communicate assured findings… We have shown this in the past few days and we will continue to do so in the coming days”, said Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn.
Based on these official sources, we as organisers of the MUNICH FABRIC START have taken appropriate hygiene and precautionary measures. We would like to draw your attention to the following recommendations for action when visiting the fair:
- Besides shaking hands, also avoid hugging and kissing when greeting.
- Regularly wash hands with soap and warm water & use the disinfection dispenser.
- Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing, cough and sneeze in your elbow, not in your hand.
- Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
- Dispose used tissues properly.
- If you have flu-like symptoms, please leave the event
- If you have flu-like symptoms, keep distance of at least 1m from other people.
- If you have flu-like symptoms, seek medical assistance immediately.
We have installed disinfectant dispensers at the entrances, in the foyer and in heavily frequented areas of the fair such as the entrances in the atrium. In addition, the frequency of cleaning measures with appropriately certified cleaning agents has been further increased. In addition, we have taken precautions for any medical care that may be necessary in suspicious cases.
As a trade fair organiser, we would like to emphasise that travel to our event in Munich is at your own risk and responsibility. Please make sure that your personal state of health and your travel plans comply with the relevant regulations, measures and recommendations of the local government and the Foreign Office in your home country.
We will continuously investigate and monitor the current status of further developments and take appropriate action should these be issued by the Federal Government, the WHO, the Robert Koch Institute or the Federal Foreign Office.
If you have any further questions, please contact us.
